Studio rental rates in New Jersey vary depending on the size of the space, amenities, and included gear. At Awakened Films, our Madison studio offers transparent and affordable day rates starting at $1250 that include a 3200K lit cyclorama and core amenities such as 100amps of dedicated power, ground-floor loading, free parking, and freshly renovated sets so producers can budget with confidence.

Every production studio is different, which is why it’s important to ask what comes standard. And there is a major difference between a creative space, photo studio and video production studio. Our base rate includes 3200K pre-lit cyc wall, seamless backdrops including green screen, quiet HVAC and 100amps of dedicated power.

For larger productions, we can provide full lighting and camera packages, teleprompters, audio kits, and crew as well as a staffed hair & makeup room, client conference room with live video feed, and kitchenette with seating for meals and snacks. This kind of setup can save you time and money by consolidating rentals and services in one easy place.

The Studios at Awakened Films can supply all necessary gear or you can bring your own! Many renters don’t have access to professional cinema cameras or high quality lighting/audio and are delighted to work with our in-house team and gear. Others simply need a space to film in NJ.

The base pricing we offer on our website is for an 8-hour, studio only rental…BYOC&G (bring your own crew & gear). We are also happy to bundle a rental with Awakened Films’ full video production services, including all gear, directing, camera operation, sound, hair and makeup, craft services for meals, and even post-production. Flexibility is key; we make it easy to fit your workflow.

Our New Jersey Video Production Studio features a large white cyclorama wall with plenty of shooting depth and height, perfect for commercials, interviews, and product films. The cyc dimensions are 15×15 (three-corner), comes pre-lit with 3200K high-cri LEDs, and can be painted chroma green or another custom color upon request. Our cyclorama provides a seamless background for compositing, virtual sets, and crisp polished brand visuals.

The Studios at Awakened Films offer free on-site parking, easy ground-level load-in, 100 amps of dedicated power, quiet HVAC, a pre-lit cyclorama, and versatile home & office sets. We also offer at an additional charge: a freshly renovated 2-station HMU room with private bathroom and changing area, a conference room with a live video feed from the studio, a kitchenette area with full craft services, drinks and snacks, grip/lighting/camera/lens rentals on site, production crew such as director of photography, gaffers and audio techs, and, edit suites with in house post production crew.

While no stage is 100% soundproof, we’ve minimized outside noise, engineered a quiet HVAC system that can run during takes and have a thick sound-dense wall separating client areas from the studio. Our studio also has a sound-stage quality sound deadening ‘cloud ceiling’. It has been designed for dialogue-driven shoots like corporate interviews, testimonials, and commercials.

Beware – many ‘studios’ in NJ are actually best suited for photography or creative meetings, as they are not isolated from road noise or internal sound reflections. It’s best to visit a potential studio before signing anything.

Safety is the number one priority in any production environment. Certain effects like haze, or small vehicle drive-ins are allowed with advance approval and proper permits. Small set builds are permitted as long as they don’t damage the stage. We do not allow open flames or indoor drones.
